I have updated The MConnections homepage. All the links work now, and all the pages are there. They don't take you to "Yahoo's 'This page does not exist pages'" anymore or the pages that have a bunch of weird looking code or half put together pages. It takes you to complet pages! I am so excited.

My mom got home a little before seven. I did go shopping-at Circuit City. And dinner was really good. It was fish with almonds and something else and dill rice. I really liked it. Then I went to Circuit City, got three presents, two for my friends, and one for my mom. I don't want to go to bed yet, but I am falling asleep. I just finished through my macwarehouse catalogues, and now I am really tired. I think I'll see if the movie my mom was watching is over and maybe we can watch TV together before I fall asleep.

I am trying to figure out how to finish my research for my subliminal message editorial. The messages are in music videos, and I don't think I have time to wait forever watching MTV Hits for them to show up, and I can't go on the internet...and my mom won't let me watch them on her computer, I am sure. I played a game of pool with my grandfather. He won.
I found my, actually, I knew where they were and just decided to listen to them, Wee Sing tapes. I only wish I knew where the books that went with them that had the words and cool information about the songs. I've had them as long as I can remember. i also found a Happy Birthday tape that has a song called "The Wrapping Song" so I thought I'd listen to it and see about it since you wrap a lot this time of the year.
When my mom gets home, I want to talk her into letting us go shopping tonight. Bababozorg already said he wants to.

The busiest shopping day of the year! Mom said she heard on the news at seven that all these major shopping malls were anywhere from half full to completely full. Maybe its a good this she has to work today...I think it might be a little claustrophobic at the malls. Maybe we can still go shopping later today. I am back to converting old 33s to MP3s. I have 3 songs so far this morning. I am hoping to get this entire album, and then maybe another album, or finish up The Eagles Greatest Hits album that I already started recording a few months ago. I feel almost like I am some studio or something. Not a major one, but I am at a computer with a turntable on one side of me and a synthesizer on the other. Unfortunately, I am not a pro with either and don't have any super powerful software, or the best in quality hookups, but at least I am not playing them and hitting record and using an internal mic. THat would be a whole lot worse. I feel very proud of myself.

You know, there are times when I can be mad at my video camera. It has a memory stick slot, and there is a memory stick in it. But there is a format error, so I can't access it or take pictures, which I just tried to do because I like my hairdo, and usually I can't get the same hairdo twice, usually. How can there be a format error? It stays in the camera, it isn't like it goes between a reader, a TV, a PDA, and the video camera. It only goes into the video camera to record still images. My digital handycam is the only thing I own with a Memory Stick slot. Goonight. I am tired.

The stories I hear are interesting. Quite... interesting. So far I've heard stories about people and towns in Minneapolis, and before that there was one about blogs when my mom mentioned mine.
Great. My mom, in their current conversation said "they don't blog" as a joke when the other person said that people in this one town "just aren't open to change." Everyone started laughing when my mom said the blog comment and then my great aunt said "and probably never will."
My mom is sitting right next to me and she probably doesn't realize that I am writing in my notebook something that I am going to type up and post on my blog. She probably thinks I Am scribbling or doodling in my notebook.

Watching a movie of my uncle's. It is an edited about their (him and his wife) Alaskan cruise around Labor Day. The wind was really strong, so it is really loud, and my ears are starting to ring from it. There was this one bird, and it was flying backwards then forwards then backwards then forwards and forwards. It was awesome.
The scenery is so breathtaking. Glacier Bay, I think it is. Somewhere in Alaska, I think.
Now there is this cool looking cruise ship in the water that is sort of blocking the scenery, but its whiteness looks really cool in the scene as well. The snow capped/covered mountains are so amazingly beautiful. the water and... not there are all these seagulls. So white. I like white.
The quality is so amazing and I think my uncle's TV really enhances the effect. The lake looks so amazing on the TV. I feel like I am practically there.

Everyone keeps making jokes. The two that I think have lasted the longest so far are the one about me and the whole transition deal and that is really getting on my nerves. I am writing that down instead of saying it is bugging me, because then I'll get a delayed response since my aunt and my uncle (siblings, not married ones) want to check my blog out, and my mom reads it regularly. The other joke is one my uncle made about not peeing overboard because of the ecosystem. But then my aunt (my uncle's sister, not wife) said when a seagull pooped "oh, but it's okay for a bird to s*** on the railing." I think I preferred it when all of their jokes went over my head.

Everything is real cool. Their is this sort of suspense building/climax music and they are in a helicopter, I think. The music sort of builds suspense and gets you to watch and now it is starting to sound like it is at a climax with the whole gong-like sounds or cymbal-like sounds. It is showing the water, mountains, and glacier ice sheets from an aerial view and the helicopter is landing. Oh goody!

The glacier ice sheets are very rugged with lots of cracks and crevices. They have landed. AWESOME! It looks so awesome. Its zoomed into one of the crevices and the water is tricking and the ice is blue and...
WHOA! That was awesome. Okay, there was this tent on the glacier, and then it sort of overlapped to a room and then it went back outside with a pretty straight cut. That was cool. It makes you sort of think they were staying in the tent.
Sorry about that, but I write too slowly and so I lost the end of my description of the ice, and I forgot what I was going to write. Now it looks like it is the inside of a saloon or something.

Finally, they had been looking forward to this for a week. A pod of orcas! I only can see the tops of them and parts of their dorsal fin when they surface for air. But it is so cool. I almost feel like I am there.

!!! Oh cool!!!! There is a close up of the fin, and it is so beautiful. I've never see a movie of the fin of an orca. It is so pretty, The colors are so amazing. I like whales.

That is what I wrote about my thanksgiving. I wrote it in my notebook, and just finished typing it all up now. It is 10:35 PM. What I don't believe I ever mentioned was that dinner was delicious, the pumpkin pie my uncle made was delicioso, as usual. I liked my Thanksgiving. It was okay. It was more like a harvest feast gathering though, which is what our Thanksgivings are based on and what we consider the first Thanksgiving was.

Okay, that was funny. I just turned on The Mix (a radio station) and its retro eighties the person said right after I heard "show them how funky and strong is your fight" fading out. It was "Beat It" or at least it sounded like it. That's so hilarious. I like this station, but you know, the whole 3 retro eighties songs, or at least that is what the deejay said. Oh well. I like a lot of eighties music that I've heard. I've actually converted the entire Thriller album to MP3s. I like Beat It. I like Al Yankovic's song "Eat It" too.

I was watching some really weird show on VH1 called Awesome Horrible Hair or something, it was cool, but then I stopped watching it to go play tachteh, backgammon in english, with my grandfather. I won. I think I won last time we played too. I think he takes it easy on me, and he's always telling me some good moves if I don't see them. I think he's playing again. I tried to teach him the piano, but he couldn't because his fingers weren't nimble enough or something. I couldn't completely understand exactly what he was saying. I am going to try to record another song then I am going to go play a game with my grandfather downstairs. Mom is running late, and I want to see her, and I would like to upload these to my blog and see of they can help me set up the internet on my uncle's laptop that my grandpa is using so that he can read the newspaper. He seemed disappointed and pretty determined when I couldn't get it to work this morning. He got out his computer book and would read parts aloud to me, I couldn't completely understand it though because it was in Farsi, but parts of the words were in English, so he would point to them and I would tell him, like with how to set up AOL and MSN that we don't use them. Then he found ISP and I explained to him that is internet service provider, and that I need to just figure out how to put in the ISP and gateways and things into it so it would recognize the internet. I am going to try to record one more song right now, then I am going to play some backgammon. I'll try to write more later. And post this.

I just got home from my friend's house. We are the co-editors of The MConnection, which I thought I had in my hand when I walked in the house, but must not have because I can't find the papers. I might have left them in her mom's car. I retraced all my steps from when I got home, but I can't find it. I'll ask her to bring them to school on Monday if I did leave them behind. But we finished The MConnection Winter Issue. Now we just have to update the website. I am trying to decide if the next issue should be a January or February issue. I am not sure which would be more appropriate. The Winter Issue is more holiday geared, so maybe a January Issue. Or a February Issue that comes out the second week of January. I was hoping to have The MConnection printed sometime during the weekend and distributed by the end of next week. But I am not sure if that'll happen because I seem to have lost the paper.

I just went through one of my desk drawers and I found all these things from third and fourth grade. I am assuming I haven't gone through that drawer in a while. There were also all these old American Girl catalogues. Maybe five or six. I didn't look at the dates from when they were, when I got a weird paper burn (it wasn't a paper cut) I put everything back in the drawer. I am going to play a song on the synthesizer and record it. I hope I don't mess up in a noticeable way. Then I get all discouraged since Ia m recording.

I know this is going to be posted at a later time, but that is because I am not connected to the internet. I am writing this and am going to post it at a later time. Probably a week or so when I reconnect my computer to the internet. I moved my computer to my room. There isn't a connection in my room, so no internet until I move my computer back downstairs. I might be able to burn the file on one of my CD-RWs and upload it via my mom's computer though.
I moved my computer to my bedroom so that I could connect it to my synthesizer. I didn't connect it using MIDI because that is the more expensive way. I hooked it up the second easiest way for me. Using the internal mic is probably the easiest way, but I hooked the headphone port to my computer audio in so that it'll take the sound from my synthesizer. Its really cool. I've recorded four songs so far. One song came out bad, but I think I was playing the wrong notes. The other ones sound fine.
LUNCHTIME! I hope so, I am hungry.

Since I am way too polite to recite anything on Thursday on Thanksgiving (or at least my parents hope so) I am going to give you my whole story on Thanksgiving and why, the so called "first thanksgiving" is anything but something we should be thankful for.
Okay, well, the thanksgiving we celebrate, supposedly takes its root from the feast the pilgrims had after surviving a year with the help of the Indians and they were celebrating their harvest, which is why we have thanksgiving with a feast and when we have it. Thanksgiving's are old traditions, and so when Thanksgiving there was the major revival of Thanksgiving Day after the Civil War when President Lincoln made it a national holiday, it was based on the thanks-giving celebrations held in the 1600s and early 1700s that were slowly dying away.
Now, a lot of people say what they are giving thanks for at the beginning of the meal, and I know in my family at least, I don't think I've ever heard the pilgrims (or Indians.) The Native Americans (the politically correct term) do not get enough recognition in their help. They do when you are little, but then as you get older and learn about all the wars, the natives become more "enemy" like and less possible alliance like. Believe me, they were alliances at points in time. If it hadn't been for the Native Americans who were so gracious towards some people back in the 1600s, we may not have Rhode Island, which was the first New England colony to have religious tolerance, something that has stayed with us in the US near four hundred years later.
But did the colonists thank the Native Americans?
Maybe, but they also had a biological warfare. The first in North America I believe. You know, all those smallpox infected blankets given to the Native Americans was no accident. It was...dum dum dum...biological warfare, though I doubt at the time it had that name. It was called fighting for what was not rightfully yours and being a landhog. And yes, history is very angled and very open to interpretations, unlike more analytical things such as mathematics. No, you know, maybe the land hog was a little overboard. Maybe, let's see, I believe greedy is the correct term.
Okay, I came up with this to be about biological warfare and what it has to do with giving thanks. Thanks giving. Thanksgiving. Biological warfare, the very thing you've most likely been hearing about in the news in the past years. I don't really have a memory of news past maybe 3 or 4 years ago - though I do remember Jerry Garcia died the day I found out what tie-dye was, but that has nothing to do with this whatsoever - so for all I know, news of biological warfare could've been then too.
The colonists had war against the Native Americans, that is definitely known. But it wasn't all bloodshed wars. There were also biological warfares involved as well. Smallpox killed the Native Americans once they were exposed to it a lot worse than the Europeans who brought it to American because they had no immunities to it, unlike some Europeans. This made smallpox a wonderful biological weapon.
Therefore, on Thanksgiving, we should give thanks to the Native Americans who helped some of the Europeans who were coming to America - just to get stabbed in the back (literally as well as figuratively) by them later on, and eventually pushed into small reservations to preserve what is left of there lifestyle if they are not yet extinguished. They deserve it, even though they may have massacred many of the Europeans, but they (and there followers) most likely did worse damage.

And no, I am not trying to preach here.

Well, I haven't posted since Wednesday, probably because I didn't go on the computer yesterday, I just sat on the couch all afternoon after I got home from my friends house around 5.

Right now I am about to go on a search online for the perfect holiday gifts for everyone. I think I am going shopping tomorrow because I need clothes (I always need clothes. )
So, since we are going shopping, we (being my mom and I) should really get a head start on our shopping for presents.

Today so far I have tidied up my room - just to make another mess, watched way too much TV, eaten two bowls of cereal, and moved the laundry basket upstairs so I can fold socks on the bed instead of the couch. I still have a bunch of chores and homework left to do though, and I am getting hungry for lunch. I wonder if there is any dinner left over from last night...hmm.

Oh well, if you are someone I would get a gift for (meaning someone in my family or one of my good friends) please leave a comment on this entry with a suggestion for a gift, so, even though the thought is what counts, I'll know you'll like it.

And they just keep on updating it. Just in time for Christmas. I have had my computer for almost a year, but it doesn't seem nearly that long. I've had my digital video camera for nearly a year and a half. No wonder why they seem so outdated when you look at "the latest, coolest, new releases," but I like my computer, and I like my video camera. And nobody better take them away!

Maybe I got a 67. I don't remember now. I think it was 66. The results for the top twenty people will be posted by Thursday online at the high school's website, and I got one less than 20th place, so I'll know by then.

OKAY! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy! I really am.
I was at this science competition thing, and I didn't place, but the 20th person, from my school and one of my friends, only got a score one point/percentage higher than me! That means I got between probably 22nd place and 30th place (due to ties and so forth) out of a LOT of people. I got a 66 on the test, which seemed harder than last year, and hopefully was since my score was in the sixties last year too. Only I think it was 63, or something like that.
Okay, well I am so happy, but I need to sort of calm down after I fill out a following survey: Droolworthy item of the day: Um, probably the plaques for the people at the science competition that placed... I was so close!
Song lyrics stuck in my head: Okay, well, I don't have a song stuck in my head, but I am listening to We Are The Champions right now. Doesn't fit my mood well enough though... I need something happier. Hold on...let me look. Much better...the Chicken Dance. Much more fitting for my mood.
Movie I've Seen Most Recently I saw part of some freaky movie my grandpa was watching last night, but in its entirety, the last movie I saw was...sheesh, this is hard. I think it might have been Ice Age which I saw a week from Friday last. I don't remember watching any movies since then.
Something I just found out right now: Well, I can't think of anything, but there is something I found out on Saturday. That the window on my dad's car on the trunk can open with the key, and you can use that to put stuff in instead of opening the trunk.

Okay, well now onto my more sad news.


I almost severely hurt someone today.
I know, I am so sad. It would have been an accident, but someone in my gym class, one of the hyper people, dropped their tennis ball, and we're playing golf, and he ran and fell and sort of went tumbling towards me, but I didn't know until there was this noise behind me sort of, and I turned my head, and I had been swinging the five iron, and it was maybe 5 inches from his head at most.
I am so glad I didn't hit him, I mean, I would've felt so terrible. I kicked someone during soccer in gym in fourth grade and broke their toe, and since then I have been a pretty un-assertive un-aggressive person in soccer. You can't blame me. Luckily, I haven't developed a 'shyness' for swinging golf clubs yet. I stay away from them when other people are swinging, but I think I've pretty much always done that. Oh well, I don't know what much else to say. I was going to put that into much more dramatic terms to work on my writing, but I don't really have time nor do I feel like it, and I need to go finish my math homework anyway.
(I actually used spell check for once just now!)

THat is so AWESOME! The Apple store in Tokyo is opening November 30. There is a page in English, but since it is in Japan, I put a link to the page in Japanese.
I haven't said much recently. I just got on the computer now to spend a few minutes relaxing. I am completely freaking out about the S.S. test I have tomorrow on the Mayflower and 13 colonies.
I need to take a chill pill, but I can't. I won't get any studying done then.
