We just discovered what the mice have been living off in our house.
They made their home in a bag of Aunt Jemima's Self-Rising Cornmeal and were eating Almond Bark.
Ironic because the almond bark is from making chocolate mice for Christmas.

I'm really good at wasting time.
The weather was gorgeous today. Probably the nicest day for the next 6 months. I've spent barely any time outside, and it'll be dark in an hour.

My weekend so far has been smoother than expected. Or at least my paper for history was.
Mole project is not going so well though.
I started to construct my avogadro's mole (green, like an avocado), and it definately didn't resemble both an avocato and a mole. Maybe a mole and a parakeet.
Now I have a green mole with no butt (I put a pot under it because it kept looking worse when I tried to make it one), but now I don't know who/what my mole is or what to do to relate it to Avogadro's number (6.02 x 10^23).
I was thinking Reptar, but that is hard to do a play or words with, and why the bowl then?
Or the Green Mole (Green Goblin), but the bowl ruins that too. Though I suppose I could build the bowl into a building or something...
I'm just not sure what to do. And if I could figure it out, then I could get all my work done today! And maybe even start on my quarter paper before next weekend.

Usually Friday the 13ths are lucky for me.
But this morning the oatmeal went crazy in the microwave again, and when I got to school my math book fell out of my locker, bounced off of my head, and onto my foot.
But I know I did well on my Chem test, and I think I passed my English test. So I suppose that isn't so bad.

I'm sure once I dive into it and actually have some good solid research behind me it'l get easier. Or more exciting.
But it is the diving in that I am struggling with.
By the time I go to bed tonight, I need to have an answer to the question of whether or not the great awakening was "great", and a detailed outline with arguments and proof.

I cannot seem to study for history.
I review my notes, but I know I need a more interactive way or I'm not going to remember. Trying to write down all the possible outlines for the topics brings me to just copy my notes and feels like nothing's getting absorbed.
I get the general idea, but I'm no good with details. I think I finally have Degler, Wood, Morgan, and Breen straight, but I don't know how to even apply them to some of the topics.
And I'm shivering and freezing for some reason. I have been since I stopped studying to eat dinner.

Today in Pre-Calc some guy's phone went off. The ring tone was o-town's version of "All or Nothing." It was definately a funny moment. Something tells me that may have been because of the ring tone.

In P.E. I was at table two at the end of the period. I would've preferred to have been at table one, but that's okay. I still got an A, and I felt sick, so I'd say I did pretty well.
I spent more than half my lunch period in the bathroom, seven minutes of it outside on the phone with my dad, and the remaining couple minutes in the nurse's office. Supposedly it's a virus going around school, but it doesn't come with a fever, so I decided to try to stick it out and not breathe on anyone. Plus, I had no way to contact my lab partner, and I hadn't given him the data from the first half of the lab we were finishing today.

I did manage to make it through my day, and Mom brought me home from school, stopping for laundry, bananas, bread, and vitamin water. I ate some bread and bananas since I had a headache, drank some vitamin water, and did my homework. I managed to eat dinner (if our upset-stomach meal counts: dill rice with yogurt), and I am feeling somewhat better, so off to bed it is. Hopefully I'm ready for my Spanish quiz tomorrow, because I studied, but I'm still not too sure of the vocabulary.
Oh, and this week's free single of the week on iTunes is a Sugarcult song. But it was a bit dissapointing of a song.

If I'm having trouble staying awake, I'd say it's time to go to bed.

My weekend is as long as my upcoming school week. And I just checked, and my math book should be here by Wednesday, so hopefully that'll mean that bringing home more than 1 textbook will be rare. My back will be happy.

I will take up a sport this year. I may have to rethink my sleep schedule though. I am wrecking it right now though. And as the nights get longer, it makes it harder to get up early.

Yesterday was the first day of school.
While at school, it was actually okay. I'm no excited about my Spanish teacher, but all of my other classes seemed pretty good. Though I don't know about p.e. yet...
Right after 6th, the fire alarm went off. I (and probably most other people) assumed someone pulled it, but that wasn't the case. Or at least not according to the announcement thanking us for our appropriate exit from the building. I will say I'm so thankful that yesterday was not the first day of freshmen year, or I would have been very overwhelmed and lost.
After that was over, I went up to my English class, and my teacher is INSANE! I'm really excited about it.
In yearbook, I decided to be on photo staff. I had to decide when he said my name, and that's probably what I'll be happiest with because then I still get to take pictures, and that is what I was going to sign up for before I decided to do yearbook. I'm just worried I'm not good enough at it.

Denise just graduated from high school last night.
That means other than my cousins that just started school, I'm the last one remaining.

I went to the MCA today (thank you Target!), but only one of the exhibits actually struck me at all. It goes along a little with the Massive Change exhibit that opens on Thursday. Next Tuesday would probably be a better day to go to the museum, except it's the day before school starts.
Tracy and I also went to Marshall Fields (which will be Macy's starting September 9th, I believe, to get my mom some make-up and a girl at the benifit counter offered us a makeover, so we accepted. It was something both of us enjoyed and never would have even considered doing alone. The make-up girl was really nice. I'm not so great with names.

Today I took a bath!

What has to be the neatest parking garage. Ever.
Lunch was at a teahouse. It was so cute. Granma goes there a lot, and Wesley's quirkiness definately added to the charm. The chicken salad had golden raisins, celery, and dill.
I tried being a contortionist at the science museum. I partially blame my shoes for getting in the way. And my hair. My knee wouldn't have been sticking out if it hadn't been for my shoe.

So it isn't too hot. Bababozorg warned me before I went out. I probably should have used that warning to take an extra bottle of water, but if anything, the humidity's messing with my head.
I was at the store, and passed the Starbucks, so I thought, iced coffee? that sounds like a good idea. I mean, it's iced. I didn't even to take into account that I don't even like coffee. I should have gotten iced tea. Well, anyways, she accidentally gave me what looks like it has got to be a venti iced cafe con leche, which was bad because it was heavy. But it had lots of ice. And since I'd wanted a tall, that is what I paid for.
Walking home was the hard part, with the milk, yogurt, and plums in my bag (I'd thrown out the empty water bottle though), and my other groceries in the bag in one hand, and a gigantic iced coffee in my other hand.
But, the iced coffee was nice and cold. And for that it was worth the buck-eighty.

Mom's old laptop seems like more trouble than its worth. I can't use it for more than 15 minutes at a time before the screen starts to flicker, and that isn't long enough to figure out what's up with GarageBand, so I'm trying to find some other software to use instead since I can't get GarageBand to work.

I spent this morning installing iLife '04 on my mom's old laptop, and then because her screen was flickering, turned it off for a few hours to let it cool down. GarageBand didn't open, so I decided to reinstall it. And it's LETTING me, so that worries me even more.

I have no idea why I decided to organize/help Dad organize his office. I obviously was REALLY bored at that moment in Iran when I made that decision. But I stuck to it, so you can guess what I was doing today.

I only worked for six hours, and at least an hour of that was helping Mom because Dad wasn't around and I was stuck on what to do. I'm doing the same thing tomorrow, but hopefully I'll be more productive. Though right now, I'm exhausted.

I came home with Mom's old laptop (a TiBook) and Adobe Photoshop 5.5, but it turned out everything (training CD, tutorials, serial numbers) were in the box, except for the CD with the installer for the actual application. I'll see about it tomorrow.

But more importantly, why am I so tired?
