Holiday Mystery
I have a holiday mystery to share with you. Oh, and if you know anything about it...your comments would be appreciated.
You go to get the mail from your mailbox. There is one catalog, some airline thingies for your father, a Christmas card, and a cardboard box. You look at the cardboard box, hoping it might be a present and not some work related something-or-other for your parents like it usually is. You look at the box and see your name!
Curious to see who it is from, since packages from family are usually larger since they are with presents for others as well, you look and see Overstock.com and some address. Curious, you give the package to your mom, who opens it and pulls out a paper that she refuses to let you see. After begging to see, she finally shows you your present saying she doesn't know who it could be from. Still puzzled, you glance at the present - Michelle Branch's Hotel Paper CD - and ask to see the paper. You glance all over, and find that the return label section has your name and address, as well where it is supposed to go. Still puzzled, you ask your mother if you can use her computer to do some internet searching and check out Overstocked.com.
You proceed to get out your mother's computer and set it up...just to see the AC adapter is missing - meaning you can't use the computer since she'll need it for work in the morning - luckily, your father is still at work, so you call him and he says he'll bring it home. You proceed with your plans.
You go to Overstock.com and look around, not seeming to find any way to look at the order. You try to see if you can find anything out...but no luck at all. It looks like a nice site though. Like a cross between eBay and Amazon. Still puzzled you check the United States Postal Service website, but it isn't a bit of help at all.
Still puzzled, you give up for the night, being late as it is and you tired. You look at the paper one more time...it says the order is from 12/16/03 8:25:43...a possible clue...

This though, is not some story I can give you the answer to, I would like to know it. If you know anything about the Case of the Anonymous Giver , please post it in the comments. Thanks. Happy Holidays!
